With a career spanning 15 years in the software industry, I, Giannis Hatziioannidis, have honed my skills in project management, software development, and team leadership. My journey has been marked by managing high-scale and complex projects that have been critical in user experience, performance, and security. I take pride in guiding teams to embrace software development best practices, employing methodologies like DevOps and Agile, and integrating cloud services and data-driven decisions.

As an Engineering Manager at GWI, I am part of an exceptional team that is building one of the top market research platforms. Leading the Audience team, we're focused on integrating machine learning into our marketing toolset. Additionally, my role includes steering architecture discussions for our SaaS offerings on Google Cloud Platform. Prior to this, I made significant contributions at Microsoft, where I was an Azure Cloud & AI Senior Consultant. My tenure at Microsoft allowed me to be a part of a development team for a major client in the Greek banking sector, where we utilized cloud-ready technologies for high-volume customer support.

Leadership and mentorship are integral aspects of my career. I’ve always been keen on nurturing the growth and development of my team members. I had the incredible opportunity to develop a mobile app for ferry ticket reservations at Attica-Group which garnered first place in the travel category of the Mobile Apps Awards in 2015. My educational background includes a Master’s in Business Innovation and Technology from Athens Information Technology and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the Technical University of Athens. This solid foundation coupled with my industry experience makes me well-versed in the intricacies and innovations of the software world.
